The Best of the Two Canyons
Day One: Travel to Phoenix, Sky Harbor Airport in Arizona, on an overnight flight.
Day Two: Arrive in Phoenix and be met by an American/Chinese guide. Take a transfer to a Scottsdale hotel.
Day Three: Travel to the Grand Canyon, one of the 10 Wonders of the World. Tour the area by motorcoach and on your own and spend the night in the area.
Day Four: Travel to Tucson and spend the night here.
Day Five: Travel through the northern part of Mexico and see many sights along the way to beautiful San Carlos Bay on the Sea of Cortez.
Day Six: Tour a Pearl Factory, see the dolphins in their natural habitat and take an evening cruise on the Sea of Cortez.
Day Seven: Travel to the small mining town of El Fuerete. See farming land and artist colonies along the way.
Day Eight: Copper Canyon is made up of 5 canyons and is 5 times larger than the Grand Canyon. Take a 3 hour train ride deep into Copper Canyon, depart the train and travel 45 minutes into the lower part of the canyon. Hike, walk, visit a children’s mission, see a winery and spend the night in this area.
Day Nine and Ten: Take the train up to the top of the canyon. Spend the next two nights at a beautiful hotel overlooking Copper Canyon. Enjoy time to tour, hike and explore this incredible untouched area.
Day Eleven: Visit the mining town of Creel. See a children’s mission, and the lifestyle of the Taramarra Indians, and stop at a Mennonite farm where they make cheese. Overnight in Chihuahua.
Day Twelve: City tour of Chihuahua, then see the ancient Casa Grande Ruins.
Day Thirteen: Cross the border back in the USA, have a farewell dinner and spend the night in Scottsdale.
Day Fourteen: Travel home.
