<p style="text-align: left;">Day 1:&nbsp; Leave the Valley after a reverse pickup and travel east through th southernmoost portion of the Tonto National Forest.&nbsp; You will head along the famous Apache Trail through the former silver mining boom towns of Superior and Globe, entering the San Carlos Indian Reservation.&nbsp; Pass through Show Low and arrive in the historic town of Snowflake.&nbsp; Snowflake was established as a Mormon Church Community by Erastus Snow and William Flake in 1878.&nbsp; Here you will take an historic Walking Tour of Pioneer homes,&nbsp; The tour begins at the Smith Pioneer home and contiues on by 17 other Historic buildings, fine examples of Victorian, Georgian, Greek Revival, Gothic, Colonial and Neoclassical architecture, covering about 1 1/2 miles .&nbsp; You will then continue on to Chinle to spend the next twio nights.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Day 2:&nbsp; This morning you will take a rim tour of Canyon de Chelly then go to the Thunderbird Lodge for lunch ( on your own) with timee to explore its gift shop.&nbsp; Then join your Navajo guide for a tour down into the Canyon de Chelly National Monument to view archeological sites where some cliffs are covered with ancient pictographs and huge stone formations that rise hundreds of feet above the ground.&nbsp; You will then return to Chinle for the night.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Day 3:&nbsp; Today you will start for home stopping at the Hubbell Trading Post Nationa Historic Site in Ganado.&nbsp; Members of the Navajo, Hopi and Zuni tribes come to sell their crafts at the trading post.&nbsp; Aat the visitor center you will see weaving and silversmithing demonstrations and receive a self-guiding booklet of the site.&nbsp; Leaving here you will travel through the salt River Canyon, the &quot;Grand Canyon You can Drive into&quot; 2000 feet deep with sedimentary rock layers visible from the road.&nbsp; You should arrive back in the Valley of the Sun around 10:00 p.m.</p>

The Fort is being developed into an historic park including the Fort Apache Culture Center and a re-creation of an Apache Village.  Several of the historical buildings have been restored with many original walls still standing.  You will take a walking tour of this area with a story tell from the fort.</strong></span></span><br />

This Scenic byway is named after Francisco Vasquez de Coronado, the Spanish explorer who in 1540 sought the fabled Seven Cities of Cibola.  The trail commemorates the route he followed more that 450 years ago and much of the terrain it goes through remains the same as it was then.</strong></span></span><br />

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 128);"><strong>Continue throught the arreas where both Cochise and Geronimo fought valiantly for their people&#8217;s freedom and land. You will visit the carefully perserved adobe walls of various post buildings and thr ruins of a butterfield Sstage Station at Fort Bowie.  Here peace was made with Cochise after the government promised him land for his tribe.  After Cochise died, the promised land was stolen back by the government and Geronimo became the new Apache leader and led his warriors in a series of raids.  Fort Bowie was the site of many struggles:  the false accusation that Cochise kidnapped a white chid; a wagon train massacre and the battle of Apache Pass.  the crumbling ruins of Fort Bowie stands as a symbol to all who lost their lives in a clash of cultures.  We will overnight in Wilcox.</strong></span></span><br />

The influence of the Old West on modern times is evedence in the memorbilla from cowboy movies of the 1940&#8217;s and 50&#8217;s and an area fosingont ttes and life in the west.</strong></span></span><br />

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 128);"><strong>The Cochise Stronghold is a rugged natural fortress where the famed Chiricahua Apache Chief holed up with about a thousand of his trip and a couple hundred warriors.  When the United States took control of the surrounding territory, Cochise&#8217;s raiders would sweep down from the stronghold harassing whites by raiding ranches and attacking stagecoaches.  In his declining years he bowed to the inevitable and negotiated a treaty with the whites, allowing his band of Apaches to stay in their homeland where he died peacefully on the newly formed Chiricahua Reservation in 1874.</strong></span></span><br />

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Day 1 - Note we will be leaving around 8:00 p.m. Friday night and sleeping on the bus in our fishing clothes - arriving in time to have a good hardy breakfast, on your own, before we arrive at Seaforth Fishing - with our gear - if you don&#8217;t have any you can rent  for an additonal cost.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Day 2 - WE WILL CHECK IN AND GET ALL READY TO DEPART AT 6:30 A.M. AND WILL BE OUT UNTIL AROUND 4:00 P.M &#8230; FOR A FULL DAY OF OCEAN FISHING.  Rod and reel, bait and fishing sack and fishing license included in price of tour.  Bring your own ice chest to store your days catch.  They will clean your fish on board ship and cool it for us until the next day&#8230;Off to the hotel for the night.</strong></p>
